About me

Hello! I appreciate you learning more about me from my bio below.

I have collected lots of experiences along my unique journey through life! Waldorf school in south-west Wisconsin's Driftless region gave me an eye for art and a deep love of performance and nature. I am quite a curious person, and that helped me to gain many skills in computers and other technical subjects. This combination of skills has enabled me to empower lots of people and small businesses to use their computer systems.

In college at UW-Madison, I chose to major in Theatre. I worked as a stage technician professionally at the same time as working and studying theater at university. I gained robust expertise in audio engineering for live and prerecorded settings. My studies and interests included classes in acting, producing, and volunteering to help produce student plays with my colleagues.

While living in Madison after graduation, I spent some time recuperating from the disruption covid caused to my schooling. By working for the Overture Center for the Arts, and Mansion Hill Inn, I discovered that my enjoyment of people makes me good at caring for them - useful in those customer-service roles. On the side, I volunteered as a journalist for community radio station WORT-FM and contributed to the amazing news team there.

Now that I am in Chicago, I do a couple audio and IT side-gigs alongside working as the Inventory Manager for the Andersonville Galleria - an indoor art fair with over 115+ unique artists. Organizing the store and making things run efficiently is very satisfying. My artistic energy is spent on creative writing, hosting a monthly classical-music radio show (WDRT, Viroqua) and most recently, a clowning workshop in Evanston. So fun!

In between all those experiences, work for non-profit organizations has been very rewarding. Places like WDRT radio in Viroqua, where I did IT support, and Madison Co-operative Housing, where I served as a treasurer and board member, have opened up my mind to how illuminating their services can be to the members of the community.

For the future, I want to be working in an art-related field using my technical and creative skills. I would find it fulfilling to be of service in producing or casting theater/film.

I'd love to talk with anyone and figure out a way we can work together. Please send me an email!
